CONTAINEX Sets Sail: 168 Cabins for the Barcolana 2025 in Trieste
Every October, Trieste, Italy, transforms into the global hotspot for sailing. With over 1,800 participating boats and more than 400,000 visitors, the Barcolana is the largest and most famous sailing regatta in the world.
CONTAINEX was on-site at this year's event as the partner for mobile space solutions, providing the infrastructure for a multitude of clients. The project was carried out in close cooperation with our valued dealer partner, Italspurghi Ecologia.
A Harbour of 168 Modules
A total of 168 new modules were provided for the event, serving as modern offices, canteens, clubhouses, and sanitary solutions.
Our partner Italspurghi Ecologia managed the container sites and deployed them for numerous renowned private companies – including Generali Insurance, MSC, Fincantieri, and RAI – as well as for public institutions such as universities and exhibitions.
Flexible Modular Solutions with a Premium Character
The versatility of our systems was the key to success. Many of the sites were realised as impressive two or even three-storey structures. High-quality equipment features, such as our modern IP-glazing (insulated glazing) and spacious terrace modules, created a high-class atmosphere and invited visitors to linger.
A particular highlight was the individual customer branding. Our partner modified numerous units exactly to the end customers' requirements. The branded modules transformed our modular solutions into representative brand ambassadors right on the Trieste harbour promenade. Clear proof of our flexibility to find the right solution, even for the most diverse customer requests.
